▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ FREEDOM CALL released their eighth full-length album entitled "Beyond", on February 21st, 2014 in Europe and March 4th in North America via SPV/Steamhammer. The 14-song effort was recorded at Separate Studios in Nuremberg and FREEDOM CALL's own studio and was produced by guitarist/vocalist Chris Bay and Stephan Ernst.
Comments Chris Bay: "Stylistically, we have remained faithful to ourselves. In fact, we've even returned to a slightly more traditional direction. I think that's probably the result of recent tours, where we had lots of fun with the classic FREEDOM CALL numbers, which not only a lot of our faithful fans from the band's early days will appreciate."
Along with the album release, there will be a video for the song "Union Of The Strong". Other tracks featured on the CD include "Knights Of Taragon" and "Colours Of Freedom", which is described as "a typical FREEDOM CALL number."
"'Dance Off The Devil' — the 'off' is consciously spelled with a double 'f' — with its African rhythms and mystic grooves may sound slightly unusual, but it perfectly suits the album title, which is meant in a spiritual sense," adds Bay.

German metallers FREEDOM CALL released an anniversary album, "Ages Of Light", on April 26th in Germany, April 29th in the rest of Europe and May 7th in North America via SPV/Steamhammer.
"Ages Of Light" is a best-of double album filled to the brim with 18 of the most important songs from the band's history, plus a bonus CD entitled "Masqueraded", featuring six FREEDOM CALL tracks in a new, unusual guise. The stylistic range includes folk, reggae, rockabilly, ska and swing!
"Ages Of Light" combines not only the essence of the best songs from the seven FREEDOM CALL studio recordings to date, but also marks a meeting of various former and current band members. Along with Chris Bay and guitarist Lars Rettkowitz, three different drummers can be heard on the bonus tracks: founder member Dan Zimmermann, along with his successors Klaus Sperling and Ramy Ali, whom fans know from the most recent FREEDOM CALL tour. The two bassists, Samy Saemann and original bandmember Ilker Ersin, and guitarist Cédric "Cede" Dupont, who was part of FREEDOM CALL between 2001 and 2005, are also featured.
"It was great fun to work with old and new friends alike at the studio, turning previously typical FREEDOM CALL numbers into unusual songs," Chris Bay explains, stressing that the group will commence working on a new studio album after the tour in spring 2013. "But first we want to celebrate our anniversary in style!"
