TEMPERANCE released its second full-length album entitled "Limitless", on March 30th, 2015 via Scarlet Records. The CD was mixed and mastered by renowned musician/producer Simone Mularoni (DGM) at Domination Studio in San Marino, Italy.
The cover artwork for the effort was designed by Gustavo Sazes.

DAMNATION ANGELS released its second full-length album entitled "The Valiant Fire", on March 27th, 2015 via Massacre Records. The CD was mixed and mastered by Scott Atkins (STAMPIN' GROUND). The artwork is hand drawn in the Chinese ink style by freelance artist JungShan from Taiwan.
Guitarist Will Graney comments: "Everything about 'The Valiant Fire' is epic, original and we believe we found our own sound on the album so when it came to the artwork we wanted something completely original and just as epic as well." "I came up with the idea of doing it all in Chinese ink and stumbled upon JungShan. We instantly fell in love with her style and knew it would perfectly suit the album. We also wanted someone who had never worked on a bands artwork before so it would be fresh and different. Basically we went out of our way to find someone completely new!" "Every song on the album features it's own piece of art that helps tell the story of that song and the trending concept/theme throughout the album. NIGHTWISH released its eighth full-length album entitled "Endless Forms Most Beautiful", on March 27th, 2015 in Europe and March 31st, 2015 in North America via Nuclear Blast Records. The cover artwork for the CD was created by the band's longtime collaborator Toxic Angel.
The "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" title came from Charles Darwin's "The Origin Of Species" book, where he wrote: "There is grandeur in this view of life, with its several powers, having been originally breathed into a few forms or into one; and that, while this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being, evolved."
Commented NIGHTWISH keyboardist and main songwriter Tuomas Holopainen: "This classic quote is where it all began. We set sail for the ultimate journey in March 2015. Join us!"
A single called "Élan" will precede the full-length CD on February 13. The four-track single features the album version of the title cut, a radio edit and an alternate version of "Élan", as well as the non-album bonus track "Sagan".
Regarding "Élan", Holopainen said: "'Oh, while I live to be the ruler of life, Not a slave. To meet life as a powerful conqueror, and nothing exterior to me will ever take command of me.' This beautiful quote from my hero Uncle Walt [Walt Whitman] was the starting point for writing 'Élan'.
"The underlying theme of the song is nothing less than the meaning of life, which can be something different for all of us.
"It's important to surrender yourself to the occasional 'free fall' and not to fear the path less travelled by.
As previously reported, longtime NIGHTWISH drummer Jukka Nevalainen sat out the recording sessions for the group's new CD due to health issues; Kai Hahto (WINTERSUN, SWALLOW THE SUN, TREES OF ETERNITY) has replaced him.
NIGHTWISH recently revealed the famed evolutionary biologist and atheist writer/leader Richard Dawkins will appear as a guest on the band's eighth studio album. The official music video for the song "Èlan" can be streamed in the YouTube clip below.

MOONSPELL released its eleventh full-length album entitled "Extinct", on March 15th, 2015 via Napalm Records. The CD was completed at Fascination Street Studio in Örebro, Sweden with producer Jens Bogren (KATATONIA, AMON AMARTH, OPETH and PARADISE LOST, among others). According to a press release, "Extinct" is "all but a musical and emotional manifesto. It puts the D of darkness back into dark metal. It's a true lesson for the new generations of goth metal about how it's played and felt with body and soul; a lesson taught by no others than our Portuguese gentlemen wolves." The cover artwork for the mediabook edition of "Extinct" was designed by Seth Siro Anton. MOONSPELL states: "This edition will be a two-disc edition, containing the full album, plus bonus songs remixed by our very own Pedro Paixão and a full documentary named 'Road To Extinction' which contains not only the making of of the album but as well some scientific context about 'Extinct'. THE GENTLE STORM, the collaboration between AYREON mastermind Arjen Lucassen and former THE GATHERING singer Anneke Van Giersbergen, released its debut album entitled "The Diary", on March 23rd, 2015 in Europe and March 24th, 2015 in North America via InsideOut Music. The effort will be "an epic concept double album" and "a combination of classical meets metal and acoustic folk," according to Lucassen.
THE GENTLE STORM's double album is an epic production of AYREON proportions, divided into two parts. CD1, the "Gentle" album, which will be all acoustic and folky with lots of exotic instruments. CD2, the "Storm" album, which will be an all-out, bombastic orchestral metal album. Of course there are plenty of progressive elements mixed in as well and it also heralds Anneke's return to the realms of heavy guitars and soaring vocals reminiscent of THE GATHERING's breakthrough album "Mandylion".
