CIVIL WAR — the new Swedish metal band featuring former SABATON members Rikard Sundén (guitar), Daniel Mullback (drums), Daniel Mÿhr (keyboards) and Oskar Montelius (guitar) alongside singer Patrik Johansson (ASTRAL DOORS, LION'S SHARE) and bassist Stefan "Pizza" Eriksson (VOLTURYON) — released its debut full-length album entitled "The Killer Angels", on June 11th via Despotz Records. 

The group states: "The album deals with a lot of stuff: heroes, traitors, battles and heavy metal....and yes: we have a song called 'Gettysburg'."

"Civil War" is a self-titled ep by Swedish metal band CIVIL WAR, which was released on November 13th via Despotz Records.

In early 2012 the four members Daniel Myhr, Daniel Mullback, Oskar Montelius and Rikard Sundén decided to leave the band SABATON. But the will to play music never left them so they decided to start a new band.

It didn't take long before they had completed the line-up with a bassplayer and vocalist. Stefan "Pizza" Eriksson (Volturyon), a longtime friend of the guys since the Sabaton-era and Patrik Johansson (Astral Doors), one of the most respected singers in the genre joined the forces and the band was founded.

So when you mix six guys, equally divided between the two rivaling cities of Borlänge and Falun.....you get Civil War!

CIVIL WAR will release their debut full-length album on May 23rd!!!
